Victoria Bond, Music Director and Conductor of symphony orchestras and opera companies since 1974, currently is President of Welltone New Music Inc., which supports creative music projects, serving the public through innovation, education, outreach and cultural diversity.

As Music Director of The Roanoke Symphony in Virginia from 1986 to 1995, Bond originated several innovative series designed to enhance audience appreciation of classical music. Illuminations was a series of lectures prior to each subscription concert, designed to educate the audience on the upcoming program. Bond invited soloists and composers to speak and illustrated each lecture with live music. ArtSounds was a series in an art gallery where visual artists and composers discussed their respective arts with Bond. Each discussion concluded with a concert where the audiences listened to contemporary works and viewed the art exhibitions. As Artistic Director of Opera Roanoke, she created a series called Operatifs, lecturing audiences on upcoming opera productions with examples performed by Bond and vocal soloists.

In 1997 Bond co-produced the all-day event, A Celebration of Women Composers: A New York Soundscape. This was sponsored by the Barnard Center for Research on Women and New York Women Composers. It took place on February 28, 1997 at Barnard College in Manhattan. Concerts, lectures and discussions were presented throughout the day and evening, featuring noted composers, performers and musicologists.
